They are waterproof but if you drop them in the lake it wont work after ( I tried and tested so you dont have to) also single alarms do NoT come with a case.

the battery is good you dont need to worry about that iv had mine for 6 months an charged them 2 times never had a better alarm i spent 450 on a set of fox and changed them 3 times a month so glad i got the new direction s9

Not sure what Eva box is but I bought my set of 3 alarms and receiver in a zipped carry case which gave one additional foam space for a 4th alarm. The case is more than adequate so if you can find a set already in case worth doing. Hope this helps.

Yes, when in stock Amazon sells single alarms and receivers starting around £30, and there easy to assign to your set up

No, These are the best alarms i have used for the price range, i can use mine for 5-6 sessions at a time before they lose charge. Work in rain and snow. Cant fault them really and i have hammered mine over the last year or so.

Can i use without a receiver?
You can use this without the receiver, however you will not be able to change any of the settings, sensitivity/volume/tone. The receiver is required to change any settings. You cant pair the alarm head only to the APP. The app pairs with the receiver.
